The Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes agréés (FQM) is proud to partner with other massage therapist associations in implementing a joint registry of expulsions, which will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
This innovative project aims to strengthen public protection and preserve the reputation and integrity of massage therapy, values that are essential to the FQM. By sharing secure and confidential access to the list of members who have been struck off, professional associations will ensure even more rigorous management of the admission of new candidates.
The objective is to ensure that members expelled from an association for serious misconduct cannot join another association by failing to declare their expulsion, for the benefit of public safety. Each participating association undertakes to cooperate in compliance with confidentiality and personal information protection legislation.
This shared registry is a confidential tool whose access will be strictly limited to officials delegated by partner associations. Its sole purpose is to improve admission processes. Your right to privacy, integrity, and correction of your personal data remains protected at all times.
This initiative demonstrates our collective commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, ethics, and professionalism throughout the sector.
