What does “agréé.e” mean?
It is a controlled designation of the Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes (FQM). This professional association has been at the forefront of the development of the profession for more than 40 years and has more than 5,000 members across Quebec. ISO 9001:15 certified, its standards are the highest in the province: a guarantee of quality for employers and the general public.
To use the designation “massothérapeute agréé.e,” you must complete a minimum of 400 hours of professional training in an accredited school, then join the FQM member community.
How and why should I go about completing the 1000 hours of training?
FQM member massage therapists with more than 1,000 hours of training receive the “agréé certifié” designation and enjoy better recognition by employers and certain insurance companies.
