A review of the summit at UQAM: A New Vision for Health

The FQM is proud to have participated, once again this year, in the A New Vision for Health summit at UQAM’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

This event brought together a variety of stakeholders around a common goal: rethinking healthcare in Quebec by focusing on prevention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the involvement of local communities. Researchers, entrepreneurs, and knowledge disseminators were on hand to propose solutions.

As the elections approach, issues related to public health and prevention are taking center stage in the various parties’ campaigns. The summit also provided an opportunity to hear from representatives of the four major parties during an election debate on health issues.

In this collective discussion, massage therapy also has a role to play. Through its prevention- and wellness-focused approach, it offers scientifically proven benefits for stress and musculoskeletal disorders.

As such, the FQM is pleased to have participated in this event and to contribute, alongside numerous partners in the health sector, to the discussions that are shaping a new, more comprehensive and collaborative vision of health.
