The presentation of our new brand image, which pairs elegance with innovation, represents a significant turning point not only for our organization, but also for our members and the massage therapy profession as a whole in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this blog post, we invite you to join us for a deep dive into the behind-the-scenes work that went into this transformation. We had the pleasure of sitting down with our President-Executive Director, Mr. Maroine Bendaoud, who shared his inspirations, along with some anecdotes and details on the reasons for the change. From the development of our logo to the improvement of the user experience on our website, you will discover how these innovations embody the FQM\u2019s modern and caring vision for the future of massage therapy in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Interview with Maroine Bendaoud, President-Executive Director of the FQM<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Maroine, can you begin by telling us why the FQM decided to refresh its brand image?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our previous logo was starting to show signs of aging. We wanted to revamp our image in favour of something more modern and lively. It was also essential that our new members be able to easily integrate this new image into their communications media, including their websites and business cards.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Where did you draw your inspiration for this new design?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our former logo already featured hands to symbolize touch, which is essential to our profession. We wanted to keep this idea while improving the definition of the hand in the new logo. After all, touch is the main tool used by our massage therapists and kinesitherapists.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Can you share an anecdote that marked the creative process?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, in fact, a funny thing happened during a Zoom meeting. Describing our current platforms to St\u00e9phane from <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/mllerouge.com\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mademoiselle Rouge<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the firm that helped us throughout the process, I compared our former <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/extranet.fqm.qc.ca\/connexion?destination=\/accueil\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members\u2019 portal<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a \u201cSoviet artefact\u201d, and knowing about St\u00e9phane\u2019s taste in music, I told him the time was ripe for a \u201cWind of Change\u201d, which provoked a burst of laughter!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Speak to us, if you will, about the logo\u2019s new colours and design. Do they hold any particular significance?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Certainly! The hand in our logo symbolizes the caring approach of massage therapists. The curves you see in our publications are inspired by the logo and are meant to evoke hands on a human body. Since the FQM\u2019s inception in 1979, we have strongly advocated in favour of a level of excellence. This renewed brand image is a further step meant to maintain this excellence.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>If you had to describe the new brand image in three words, what would they be?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I would say: <\/span><\/i><b><i>streamlined<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><\/i><b><i>innovative<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><\/i><b><i>refined<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Finally, what were the initial reactions after the new image was unveiled?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reactions were extremely positive. Our new graphic charter, based on the logo and the colours, really allows us to stand out. It reflects our adaptability and continuing commitment to development and growth. By placing the emphasis on a more intuitive and accessible approach, we are opening new avenues for our members and offering them improved tools with which to increase their visibility and professional effectiveness.
