You must have completed basic training (400 hours minimum) in a school not accredited by the FQM. In fact, you can benefit from a respectful, rigorous and rewarding process that allows for the recognition of your experience. Moreover, the FQM&#8217;s mission is to qualify and support all massage therapists in their practice.<\/p>\n<p>You can therefore become an active member of the FQM within a reasonable period of time and immediately use the designation <em>massoth\u00e9rapeute agr\u00e9\u00e9<\/em>. This is a guarantee of quality, particularly with the public and insurance companies.<\/p>\n<p>The procedure is relatively simple and quick. First, check that you meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fqm.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/GAB-AR-043-Normes-dadmission-\u2013-FQM-version-ang.pdf\">admission requirements<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be 18 years of age or older;<\/li>\n<li>have completed Secondary V (or the equivalent);<\/li>\n<li>have at least 400 hours of basic massage therapy training from a non-accredited school;<\/li>\n<li>and if you are from outside of Canada, have a work permit or a document proving that you can work legally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you meet these criteria, contact our member services directly at 1-800-363-9609 ext. 228 or by email at <a href=\"mailto:support@fqm.qc.ca\">support@fqm.qc.ca<\/a>. We will explain in detail the steps to follow and the documents required for the analysis of your file.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that no results will be communicated to you by telephone.
